FeelingAnxious PR recently partnered with our friends at Rockethub to offer the Be Almost Famous LaunchPad Opportunity

Gleb has a unique personal story, quirky and innovative short film, and massive vote-getting prowess. Judges included Rockethub.com, Arien Rozelle of FeelingAnxious PR, Lonny Knapp of AOL’s Spinner.com, Octavio Blanco of CNNMoney, and Jacob Shwirtz of MTV. Congratulations to Gleb!

Additionally, we’ve named two finalists:

Lloyd Godson and his fascinating underwater research initiative. “The aim of the project is to establish a globally unique underwater research, education and outreach facility in the Vinkeveense Plassen, a freshwater lake area in The Netherlands.”

Nicole Ballivian and her internationally relevant feature film. “Sleeping on Stones will be a feature film, to be shot in the West Bank city of Hebron. It will be the first dramatic feature film of Hebron and it is both a Palestinian and an American story.”
We are excited to work with all of the winners!

Country Music + Queens Food

20 Sep

A country musician in a food magazine? Yep. We did that.

Why? Because Joe Thompson is from Queens, he’s a mixologist at a well known Manhattan restaurant and he’s a musician. Edible Queens is perfectly in line with all of those targets. Foodies typically also enjoy music and the arts, so we gave them a brand new seasonal cocktail made by Joe just for this issue. The placement leads readers to his website where they can find a number of other cocktails inspired by songs on his recently released album Yankee Twang.

The process involved creative thinking and collaboration, yielding strategic results. So, please go buy Joe’s album and listen to it while sipping one of his signature cocktails… perhaps the “Harvest 718″ is in order tonight.
