FeelingAnxious PR recently partnered with our friends at Rockethub to offer the Be Almost Famous LaunchPad Opportunity

Today we’re happy to announce that independent film director Gleb Osatinski and his project, Pisces of an Unconscious Mind, which he wrote, directed and produced, has been selected for the opportunity.

Gleb has a unique personal story, quirky and innovative short film, and massive vote-getting prowess. Judges included Rockethub.com, Arien Rozelle of FeelingAnxious PR, Lonny Knapp of AOL’s Spinner.com, Octavio Blanco of CNNMoney, and Jacob Shwirtz of MTV. Congratulations to Gleb!

Additionally, we’ve named two finalists:

Lloyd Godson and his fascinating underwater research initiative. “The aim of the project is to establish a globally unique underwater research, education and outreach facility in the Vinkeveense Plassen, a freshwater lake area in The Netherlands.”

Nicole Ballivian and her internationally relevant feature film. “Sleeping on Stones will be a feature film, to be shot in the West Bank city of Hebron. It will be the first dramatic feature film of Hebron and it is both a Palestinian and an American story.”
We are excited to work with all of the winners!

FeelingAnxious PR + Rockethub Announce LaunchPad Opportunity

FeelingAnxious PR and Rockethub have teamed up to offer creatives a very exciting opportunity — a chance to work with us!

Rockethub told us that one of the biggest questions they get from creative folks is “How do I get more exposure for my work?” So we joined forces to offer you the opportunity to pitch the story of your project, and (hopefully!) get it covered. Check out the details here about how to enter.

The lucky winner will receive:

  1. A consultation with us!
  2. Customized strategic media outreach plan with targeted media list!
  3. A four week media outreach campaign!
We are so excited to be working with the good folks at Rockethub on this opportunity. Good luck to all of you that enter — we can’t wait to meet the winner!

Tim J. MacMillan, author of Soul mates don’t die, an official selection of the Chicago Fringe Festival 2011 Pilsen, will bike from New York City to Chicago beginning on August 4th as a fundraiser for his new play Soul mates don’t die.

The ten-day bike tour, part of a crowd funding campaign called “801 miles: a pedaling playwrights’ plea” through Rockethub.com, will take him from his home in Astoria, Queens through New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois, where he will arrive in Chicago on August 14th.

MacMillan’s play Soul mates don’t die, set to premiere at The Chicago Fringe Festival on September 3rd, is a dark comedy about life, sex and death and the changes we are forced to make. Funds are needed to pay for lighting, costumes, rehearsal space, sets, press, programs and the full size mannequin written into the Soul mates don’t die script.
